Brian and Claire Mear have turned their loss into legacy after their daughter Molly was born sleeping. They tirelessly raise both funds and awareness for neonatal charities, mostly by putting together heavy metal festivals in the North and South of the UK, where multiple artists perform under the banner of Molly’s handprint. They are a truly inspirational couple and deserve a thank you for all that they do.

After loosing Archie and Ayla, Gemma threw herself into fundraising to support the 4Louis charity following the support they received. Raising over £20,000 since 2015, through various successful events. Gemma is considered a valuable volunteer and Ambassador for the charity.

Katie and her husband lost their son Dexter when he was born in November 2016. Since then, they have both worked so hard to create Dexter’s Garden at Oldham hospital, a place where families who have lost their babies can come and sit plant flowers, bring memories stones and plaques and at Christmas they could bring a bauble for the Dexter’s Garden Christmas Tree.Katie, who is a midwife at Oldham hospital, along with her Husband, Adam, have shown such strength in such a difficult time in their life.

I nominate Nicky because of the tireless work she puts into Remember My Baby, keeping it running smoothly and co-ordinating with the volunteers, she’s an incredible woman, even more so because she does all this around her chronic illness (ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) I personally can’t say enough good things about Nicky and I dearly hope that she is recognised for the amount of time and effort she puts into RMB.

Lynette works so had, working towards a degree in nursing and a single mother with no mother of her own. I don’t know how she does it.

Sophie/Kolbys footprints is a well deserved candidate for this award. I for one am very proud of all she has achieved so far whilst still dealing with her own sadness loosing her son Kolby but still manages to constantly put others first for this cause and raising awareness and funds continually.
Gemma Morgan has tirelessly worked for the 4Louie charity since the loss of her twins. She’s such an inspiration, raising thousands and doing more as each year passes.
