I’d like to thank a very special nurse who looked after me to the height of distinction! (Deborah Farmer) Thanx Debs, you never left my side from the moment of admission, getting ready to go to theatre, then caring for me after my operation, thank you so, so much xx.

I’m pretty certain Fauzia feels she ‘is just doing her job’ but she truly goes above and beyond. She supports grieving families, makes such a difference in their experience and has made significant changes in palliative and bereavement care. She has guided parents through loss, diagnosis, grieving, memory making and their continued journey. Such a strong, inspirational lady.

Georgie spent a lot of her shift checking in with us although I’m sure she was super busy. I know it was her job to keep me well but it was so much more, her kind words and support meant so much.

She is an amazing GP who we are very lucky to have had care for us. She gave us outstanding care and support and a level of empathy and understanding that meant we always had someone we could talk to throughout a very difficult few years. We will always be grateful to her for this and would love for her to be recognised.

Kat has built amazing collaborative partnerships at the tertiary Liverpool Women’s Hospital and due to this work she has seen a 262% increase in referrals for palliative care planning during the perinatal and neonatal phase since 2014.

A few weeks after our miscarriage, I was rushed back in to receive further care following a massive bleed from retained tissue. Rachel came in very early on a Sunday morning to scan me, talk me through my options and then sat with me for a few hours – all on her own day off. Her experience and support during this time was invaluable. She did everything to make this awful time much more comforting. She is a true professional.

I’d like to vote for rachel small. Rachel looked after me for many years through horrendous amounts of miscarriage. Always went that extra mile to support you and nothing was ever too much trouble. Rachel will forever hold a special place in my heart xx
