Allie Girling:

“I lost my baby girl last year and I had never heard of a Cuddle Cot before, the funeral director that was doing my daughters funeral didn’t have one. My Funeral Director contacted Allie, who had supplied 2 Cuddle Cots to the local CoOp Funeral Directors, within minutes Allie had replied to the messages and was able to supply a Cuddle Cot to Hertiage and Sons so I was able to spend extra time with my little princess. I cannot tell you how much this meant to us.Allie had not only fundraised locally but also around the UK and has raised in under a year nearly £20k.”

Catherine Cocks:

“I met Cait a few years ago in September 2015 when I started doing cartoon style baby sketches for bereaved parents via my charity Little Baby & Co. She offered her professional service as an artist. She pledged one fine art baby portrait per month, to be awarded to parents who had either no photos, very poor quality photos or photos that showed any “hurts” from birth that they might find distressing. I have seen her bring about comfort for those like myself who did not have photos and construct a portrait from pictures of siblings as babies.”

Danielle Hayton:

“My daughter Danielle Hayton sadly lost her baby boy Jacob on the 2nd of February. The staff at Burnley hospital were fantastic and due to the fact they had a cold cot Danielle her partner Wesley and the rest of our family got to spend some precious time with Jacob. However when the day came for Jacob to go to the funeral home unfortunately they didnt have a cold cot. All this inspired Danielle to want to raise enough money to provide a cold cot for the funeral home as she wants to help other families who go through similar and give them more time with their loved ones than she had. In just less than 3months Danielle has raised enough money and is now looking into purchasing a cold cot.”

Louise Wright:

“Billy arrived into the world on 9th June 2017, but was very sadly taken from her world far too soon, 12 days later. Not only has Louise set up an amazing group in ‘Billy’s Rainbow’s’ but she has been an ambassador for Edward’s Trust, doing some spectacular things in terms of raising awareness and fundraising for the Trust.  In the short time since Billy passed away she has raised incredible funds for the services that were supportive to her during Billy’s short but beautiful life.  She took it upon herself to host ‘Billy’s Bash’ 6 month Birthday party to raise over £5,000, her oldest sonraised money to purchase a new X-Box for one of our Children’s Counselling Rooms. Louise is now planning Billy’s 1st Angelversary party to raise further funds. Louise is strong and brave and does her upmost to smile though her grief.”

Lynnette Olding:

“Lynnette Works around the clock as a single mum to 4 young children whilst studying for her nursing degree. She is so passionate that she also selflessy organises at least 2 fundraisers a year for the Snowdrop And Central Delivery Suite fund – founded by Greg and Jen after the loss of their beautiful baby girl. Lynnette organises everything from the hiring of the venues, to the flavour of the ice cream & she does it all with a smile on her face and spring in her step. Generally people may seek support from their parents or loved ones buts thats where Lynnette’s strength of character and compassion is on another level. Seven years ago Lynnette watched her own mum pass away,  with terminal cancer… She truly is something else!”

Nicky Rygielski:

“Nicky has made a huge contribution to the local baby loss community. She works extremely hard for the charity Sophia Pregnancy Loss Support all in her own time. She leads the monthly support groups where bereaved parents attend. In addition to this nicky has become treasurer for the charity and spends a huge amount of her time thinking of new ways for the charity to fundraise and raise awareness of pregnancy loss. She also attends meetings with the local maternity hospitals to ensure the needs of bereaved parents are met. Nicky attends a variety of events in the local community. This includes awareness stands at shopping centres, carnivals and even business expos. At these Nicky raises awareness of pregnancy loss and offers support to those who need it. She has also given talks to local businesses to help them support workers who have experienced pregnancy loss.”

Sarah Bernasconi Parsons

“Sarah is continually fundraising, and tirelessly gives her precious time and effort to reach out to a variety of projects ensuring that any area which can benefit from her help is supported in some way, no matter how small. Some of her projects have included the development and furnishing of a quiet room for families within the gynaecology ward, donation for a counselling room, memory boxes, knitted cushions and blankets for the paediatric ward and the accident and emergency department. Sarah has also been pivotal in creating a facebook support page for bereaved parents.”

Sophia and Gareth Williams:

“Sophia and Gareth have challenged themselves to generate huge amounts of awareness for stillbirth across the south west and beyond. Sophia has pushed herself physically to raise money and awareness, completing the 3 peaks challenge with her husband and most recently running the Plymouth Half Marathon wearing the names of dozens of angel babies’ names on her t-shirt helping to bring comfort to many other families knowing their baby is being remembered. She has also worked with Plymouth midwives to implement information packs to be given out to expectant mothers in the area to help them better understand the signs or stillbirth and hopefully reduce the numbers of unnecessary deaths.”
